We made it to Beijing

Well, so much for visiting Soeul. Our Korean Air flight was canceled due to a bird strike. We were moved to an Air China flight.

We flew on a 747-400 Combi, which is half passenger and half freighter. Walk back through the plane and 2/3 of the way back is a wall. Cargo pallets behind the wall.

We arrived in Beijing at 5:30 AM. Big airport. We taxied for over 15 minutes. Then took a tram about a mile and a hlf to baggage claim-in the same building.

After a shower at our hotel, we headed for a day at the trade show. (More on that later.)

Our hotel rooms are on the bottom floor. One floor below ground level. There are holes outside the room so we can have a window. Kinda wierd, but a decent room. What do you want for 385 Yuan ($55).

Our hotel is located near Tian'anmen Square, amongst all the 5 star hotels. Our hotel does not have 5 stars (probably 3).
